LfK forum for entrepreneurs

2009 Business Forum

The third LfK business forum held on 18 July 2009 was very well received by the public. The highly topical issue of "Financing Impossible: will the crisis axe the middle market company´s funds?" attracted more than 220 participants, mainly medium-sized companies, to the Schwenningen BKK atrium.

At the beginning of the forum, Klaus Huber and Thomas Bußhardt of LfK demonstrated the current problems that medium-sized companies are facing in financing their investments and securing regular liquidity. Representatives from the funding institutes present (KfW, L-Bank and Bürgschaftsbank) then presented the current programmes which can be taken up for the purpose of crisis management. When the requirements for application have been fullfield and all the documents have been submitted, then - according to the representatives from the funding institutes - help will be given quickly and unbureaucratically.

The panel discussion that followed was both exciting and controversial, with the Chairmen of the Tuttlingen District Savings Bank (Lothar Broda) and the Volksbank Donau Neckar eG (Jürgen Findeklee) participating. Hosted by Professor Dr. Rolf Lausmann, the panel of experts responded to questions from the audience - some of them critical.

At the get-together that followed, many participants took the opportunity to ask the present representatives from house banks/funding institutes/LfK questions or to talk in a pleasant atmosphere.
